My mom and I attended the annual Womens Wellness Day event held on and took advantage of the free health screenings. One of them was a blood test to check for high cholesterol. A mother and daughter team working for the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital take a vial of blood from the participant and results are sent in the mail. We did this last year, and my results were in the desirable range. Well this year my cholesterol number was borderline high. I guess a number of factors in my life in the last year could have contributed to this. Stress from moving into my own place, getting a divorce, not exercising as much, and working full-time to make ends meet all while trying to continue to eat healthy could be factors.
